Aakash Kapur is the Head of Business Development at Nossa Data. As the company's first commercial hire, Aakash's responsibilities vary from revenue generation to operational management. He continues to be a source of knowledge within sustainability, fintech, and startups, having arrived with extensive experience across financial services, ESG, and technology.
Prior to Nossa Data, Aakash worked in Sales Enablement at Dataiku in New York, shortly after an MBA Summer Associate role in venture capital. Previously, Aakash spent 4 years at RBC Global Asset Management in Boston, where he worked on strategy and institutional business development, aiding in marketing the company's offerings across asset classes, with a strong focus on ESG-integrated equity and fixed income strategies. Having been promoted multiple times, his efforts ranged from territory analyses to direct prospecting & sales. Prior to commercial roles at the Royal Bank of Canada, Aakash performed technical analyses within the Global Active Equities team at State Street Global Advisors, after working at both AIG and UBS.
Aakash graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in 2015, majoring in Finance & Marketing, with a minor in International Affairs. Remaining close to the university, he continued to serve on the Young Alumni Advisory Board at Northeastern and also volunteered as a Young Professionals Executive Committee Member for Bottom Line. He also earned an MBA from Imperial College London, where he focused on ESG and the startup ecosystem, successfully competing in the Venture Capital Investment Competition and serving as Vice Chair on Positive Investment Imperial. In his free time, Aakash enjoys keeping active, playing football, podcasting, and spending time with friends & family.
