Following the Sector Standard Coal Sector GRI 12 and Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fishing Sectors GRI 13 which were published last month. Sector Standard Mining GRI 14 became effective for reporting.
The new GRI Standard reflects broad stakeholder demands for transparency and enables any mining company to use a common set of metrics to report their impacts.
The GRI Sector Program will develop standards for 40 sectors, starting with those that have the highest impact.
