CDP has revised its 2027 timeline: the scoring deadline now falls in the week commencing 26 July 2027, giving disclosing organisations a 13-week window to submit a scored response. For sustainability and reporting teams, that extra time only helps if planning starts now.
The change follows stakeholder feedback on the key dates CDP first published in June 2026. Alongside it, CDP will release 2026 scores to disclosers earlier than planned, on 18 November 2026.
This guide sets out the revised 2027 CDP disclosure cycle dates, what changed, what the earlier 2026 score release means for you, and a step-by-step plan to prepare.
2027 CDP key dates at a glance
The 2027 CDP disclosure cycle runs from late February to early September 2027. Each milestone falls in the week commencing (w/c) the date below; CDP will confirm exact days in its 2027 Disclosure Hub.
| Milestone | Week commencing | What it means for issuers |
|---|---|---|
| Request lists open | 22 February 2027 | See which investors, customers and other requesters have asked you to disclose. |
| Response window opens | 26 April 2027 | The questionnaire opens for responses in the CDP Portal. |
| Scoring deadline | 26 July 2027 | Submit by this week for your response to be scored. |
| Final response deadline | 6 September 2027 | Last chance to submit; responses after the scoring deadline are not scored. |
In practice, the scoring deadline is the date that matters most. Treat late July as your hard deadline and the September date if you are willing to have your response not scored this cycle.

What changed: a longer response window
CDP moved the scoring deadline later to give organisations more time to prepare their disclosure. It published the original 2027 dates in June 2026, then revised them after stakeholders raised concerns about the timing of the scoring deadline.
Under the revised timeline:
- 13 weeks separate the response window opening (w/c 26 April) from the scoring deadline (w/c 26 July).
- 19 weeks separate the response window opening from the final response deadline (w/c 6 September).
- 9 weeks separate request lists opening (w/c 22 February) from the response window, which is your best window for internal planning.
CDP is notifying disclosing organisations directly and updating the 2027 Disclosure Hub. If your team built a project plan around the June dates, now is the time to revise it.
2026 CDP scores: earlier private release
Disclosers will see their own 2026 CDP scores in the CDP Portal on 18 November 2026, earlier than CDP originally communicated. Score reports will be shared the same week.
| Event | Date |
|---|---|
| Scores visible to disclosers in the CDP Portal | 18 November 2026 |
| Score reports shared | Week of 16 November 2026 |
| Public release of scores | Week of 30 November 2026 (unchanged) |
| Score appeals window | Open for three weeks; CDP will publish details shortly |
That gives you roughly 12 days with your score before it goes public. Use them to:
- Check your score report for any points you believe were marked incorrectly, and decide quickly whether to appeal.
- Brief leadership and investor relations before the public release, so no one is caught off guard.
- Prepare external messaging for your website, sustainability report or press release.
- Start your 2027 gap analysis while the scoring feedback is fresh.

How to prepare for the 2027 CDP disclosure cycle
The strongest CDP responses are built well before the response window opens. Here is a practical timeline working back from the scoring deadline.

November to December 2026: learn from your 2026 score
- Review your 2026 score report line by line and note where points were lost.
- Decide on any appeal within the three-week appeals window.
- Agree a target score for 2027 and the improvements needed to reach it.
January to February 2027: plan and assign owners
- Build a gap analysis against your 2026 response and the scoring feedback.
- Assign an owner for each module, such as governance, risks and opportunities, targets and emissions data.
- Check your request list when it opens (w/c 22 February) to confirm who is asking you to disclose.
March to April 2027: gather data and evidence
- Finalise your prior-year emissions inventory and any third-party verification.
- Collect supporting evidence: board minutes, policies, transition plans and target documentation.
- Draft answers in advance so you are ready when the response window opens (w/c 26 April).
May to July 2027: draft, review and submit
- Enter responses in the CDP Portal and run internal reviews by module.
- Get sign-off from senior leadership with time to spare.
- Submit before the scoring deadline (w/c 26 July). Aim for early July to leave room for last-minute issues.
August to September 2027: final checks
- If a response is not yet submitted, the final response deadline is w/c 6 September, but it will not be scored.
- Record lessons learned while they are fresh for the 2028 cycle.
